Details on Fundraiser for July 4th Weekend

I am happy to announce that I have a prototype of TouchBible that will work on the upcoming iPhone 2.0 software update. This is great news if you enjoy the Online Version of TouchBible and wish you could have it where ever you are. However, to truly get it ready to be listed on Apple's App Store, I am going to need some help with funds.

Apple Charges $100 for developers to take full advantage of the software used to make iPhone apps. If you would like to help me pay the bill on this, you may do so by donating! The sooner I can raise the $100 to be enlisted in the developer program, the sooner TouchBible will be avaliable to iPhone's everywhere.

That is right. I only need to raise $100. If I raise more, the additional money will go into the development of TouchBible(App) and TouchBible(Online)

The TouchBible App, called TouchBible(App) will be free to download. Many users have expressed that they are willing to pay for TouchBible, but I want this to be a "gift" that I hope everyone can enjoy as they are on the go.

The first version will include a King James Version that will work even when there is no internet connection, but later updates will include more translations which will also work "offline". In the mean time, I plan to offer the other translations through TouchBible(App) via the internet... that way you can at least access other translations when you have internet access until the update is here.

If I can finish TouchBible(App) and submit it to Apple by July 7, there is a good chance you'll see TouchBible(App) listed on the App Store the same day it is released! That's July 11! If I miss the deadline, that just means it will take even longer before it is available to users.

Remember, I cannot guarantee that this will happen. So much depends on Apple. They must approve my app first. There is also a chance that Apple will not accept my application until after the launch. Before any of that that can even happen I have to finish it before the July 7 deadline! I have an uphill battle, so there is a chance I will not make the deadline on time.
